Award Winning Author to host intimate speaking series this summer with Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, May 09, 2016 – Heather Jacks, an award-winning writer and bold expressionist, announced she will be hosting an intimate speaking series from June until August in support of her current writing venture: a book about the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. A leading edge Order of queer nuns, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence devote themselves to community service, ministry, and outreach to those on the edges, and to promote human rights, respect for diversity and spiritual enlightenment for all.
“The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence work tirelessly to fight ignorance in the face of adversity every single day,” said Jacks. “I am incredibly inspired by their platform, so am hosting an intimate speaking series, this summer featuring three fully professed Sisters; LAMBDA Award Winning Author, Sister Plush, PhD wielding Sister Hera Sees Candy and Iconic Activist and Advocate Sister Roma, in order to share their stories and passions and spread awareness about the upcoming book.”
To be held at the beautiful Spark Arts Gallery in June, July, and August, Sisters Speak! will acquaint all attendees with the activism and dedicated work the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence perform on a daily basis.
